What to Bring Day before Trip

Tuesday May 12th, Check-In 3:15-4:30 pm
Kennedy-Front Parking Lot
1) Bank Envelope: write your name & amount of money you are bringing on the outside of the envelope and seal it. Students may bring along up to $75.00 with which to buy snacks, souvenirs, postcards, etc. This money should be in small bills (i.e. 4 – $5.00’s and 15 – $1.00’s etc.).
All students should also carry about $5.00 in quarters the day of departure. They may wish to use this for buying a drink or snack at night from the vending machines where we stay.

2) Backpack: fully packed with clothes. Sleeping bag and sleeping pad attached to the outside of backpack and hiking boots tied to the outside frame. Everything should fit inside your backpack except those items for your overnight bag.

2) We DO NOT allow CELL PHONES or other electronic devices (iPods, etc.) on the trip, except cameras. If we find any electronic device, they WILL BE CONFISCATED & returned at the end of the trip

__Warm sleeping bag with stuff-sack (LOANER FROM SCHOOL)
__Sleeping pad (LOANER FROM SCHOOL)
__2 heavy plastic 32 oz water bottles – (SUPPLIED BY SCHOOL)
__Ground cloth – light weight (5’ x 7’)
__High-top Hiking Boots – broken in before trip at school and home – Nike, Hi-Tec, or similar type
__Tennis shoes – for bus travel and camp use only
__Water shoes to play in water (FLIP FLOPS for hotel pools only)
__6 clothes pins for Tube Tent
__Small carry-on bag (for change of clothes + swimming suit, etc. – SUPPLIED BY SCHOOL)
__2 small flashlights with new batteries for flashlights + spare bulbs
__Plastic drinking cup with handle (no metal) (Write child’s name on the cup with permanent marker)
__Plastic bowl – for soup/cereal/meals (Write child’s name on the bowl with permanent marker)
__Eating utensils – fork and spoon only (Write child’s name on each utensil with permanent marker)
__1 bath Towel (light weight, no beach towel, needs to fit in the backpack)
__6 pairs of socks
__2 pairs of hiking socks – (to wear with hiking boots)
__1 pair of liner socks
__8 changes of underwear
__1 bandana
__1 warm jacket
__1 rain poncho (light weight)
__1 light nylon windbreaker or light jacket

Campers
The weather can be very cold in the evenings to very hot during the day; and rainy to dry anytime.
Expect to get dirty on the trail. Soap and water will clean hands and faces.
Please cut toenails short to ensure boots fit Ok

Esperen que el tiempo este muy frio, caliente, humedo y seco. Tambien se ensuciaran un poco en el paseo.
Por favor, cortar uñas de los pies por lo que no va a pasar ampollas en las botas
Con jabon y agua se pueden limpiar la cara y las manos.
